Theater/Badges

Herberger Theater – Stage West
222 E Monroe Street, Phoenix

The Herberger’s Stage West is a beautiful 320 seat theater, for out of town performers, located directly south of the hotel (map). The map leads you to the backside performer, staff entrance to the Theater on the Northwest corner of 2nd St & Van Buren.

Your PIF2018 Badge will be given to you upon arrival either at the volunteer orientation, upon arrival by your Den Mom or at the Theater, and will be necessary for admittance to the theater and party events throughout the weekend. Please wear your badge when you encounter theater ushers. It is how you will get into the theater and backstage without a ticket.

When arriving at the theater for tech, your performance and volunteer shifts, you will need to enter at the northwest security entrance, located at Van Buren and 2nd Street, and check in using your name, troupe name or staff affiliation. When entering through security, you must also exit through security.

It is important that all staff also use this entrance before the house opens, no entry through the lobby will be available until we officially open for audience.

We are in Stage West — stay to the right when walking in.

To see a show you can enter through the lobby after the house opens — there are also doors from the backstage area into the theater. Seating for badge holders is located on the second and third floor balconies. Depending on ticket sales, you may need to stand or give up your seat to ticket holders.

Performer Schedule

Please arrive at least one hour before your scheduled performance time. Your troupe will have a shared green room backstage before, during and after your performance as a personal area to keep belongings and warm-up. The green room area is never left unattended and is secure. Feel free to come down during any Open Tech time throughout the weekend to get a feel for the stage before your show.

THE WEATHER

What to expect from typical Arizona spring weather — resting in the mid to high 80s (30c) during the daytime and getting into the 60s (15c) in the wee hours. Bring some summery clothes, sunscreen and remember to drink lots of water. A light jacket or sweater is recommended for the late nights — you’d be surprised how cold low 60s are when you’ve been in 85-degree weather all day.
